Step into my ring Bitches…
As I make my debut here on Yfly15, I’d like to thank the homey nate and my negro brother from another mother, the darker, skinnier version of myself, Black Santa, for allowing me to join the posting madness. First off I have something for you that really needs no introduction or explaination…..it’s just awesome.
You will all soon learn that I have a bit of a man crush on Lil Wayne, and I’m always jonesin for new music so I will be posting a lot of new stuff in my posts. My first offering is some brand new fire from Weezy featuring some Mike Tyson off of a Big Mike mixtape (some tags on it but they’re pretty minimal) The American Dream. Next is some hotness from Termanology and Bun B produced by Premier - How we Rock. And finally a little something from the newly formed duo of Wale and Young Chris called Whole Time .
To finish it off, with the wtf? part of the post, a few words from the crazy ass Mr. Gary Busey. There’s a bunch of these little clips on youtube for some phone company or something, but this is my favorite.
Enjoy!
Signing off…over and out.
No commentsmonday is the than or equal to funday
Mondays are hard enough on their own, add in the aftermath of a rock show by friends from knoxville WOMAN and you’ve basically got a wash. In between editing a form I’m futzing on the internet (surprise surprise) and found this. On first pass it is passable and is in keeping with my video mashup theme I seem to have going this month. Justice and Thriller by Dj Lez.
give it a go. more at 10.

these things concern the ting tings
Who wants a kooky cover? If you raised your hand here is our cliffnotes back story:
So the ting tings are the darlings of the scene (scene here used in the just the broadest sense of the term). their inclusion into the Apple marketing discography is of course a massive boon to anyones career, and they’re still turning out ‘hits’ the most recent being: ‘Thats Not My Name’. Hold that thought and add Dizzee Rascal into the mix.
Dizzee Rascal is also no stranger to massive success; as one of the first figure heads of the grime scene his ‘Boy In Da Corner’ album on XL (click to buy) pretty much help set grime on an accessibility level open to the greater listening populous. Add those two together, stir in the BBC’s Annie Mac and you come away with a live rendition of Dizzee covering the Ting Tings and I think it is pretty good. Not great. But Good. Here is the “video” for the song:
It is worth a listen for sure.
And if you want a more dance floor focused version, and one that I’ve been playing out whenever I can you can get your download on with this: The Ting Tings - Thats Not My Name (Dr. Werewolf Bmore Mix)
xo
i’ll show you my media landscape if you show me yours
Maybe my RSVP to the dance got lost in the mail, but whatever the case I am totally being blown away by the hustle put forth by eclectic method. hailing from the UK these guys have been at it for a while and I know I have seen their work in the past but never really payed that close off attention, my bad.
their really ramping up their game don’t believe me? have doubts? Well, quit your bitchin’ and a’doubt’n and take a look at this:
that is their ZeitGhost Mix and in my opinion it is just beyond stellar.
